Guys… I’m back!!! I’ve tried (and failed) to get this blog up and going for about a year, and it just never happened. So now, after a lot of research on why blogs fail, and what can be done to make sure that doesn’t happen, I’m back! This time, I have a purpose, not just daily musings… This blog’s purpose is to document my journey to a healthier, happier, more fulfilling person. I’m slowly but surely organizing my life and trying to get everything back on track. This blog is going to help me on that journey. A year from now, or two years from now, I want to look back and see where I started and how far I’ve come.
I know that I’m not the only one in this position, trying to balance a career working 60 hours a week, a home life, 4 legged kids (no real ones yet! But someday!) So, maybe my ramblings and desperate attempts to get organized under control will help someone else! Maybe not… But at the very least, it’s helping me, and that’s all I can ask for.
For those of you who don’t know me, let me re-introduce myself. I’m Bri. I am (almost) 26 years old. I have a very demanding career as a restaurant manager, so I’m working 50-60 hours a week sometimes. I am engaged to my best friend, Matt, and we are getting married in 77 days! We own our own home, and we have a family of three dogs, Odessa a black lab/pitbull, Sasha, a white husky, and Rex, our little German Shepherd/Husky puppy that we recently adopted.
So, what’s the plan for this blog? I’ve got categories for each day to give some variety and more options for posts. (I told you I was getting organized!)
Sunday: Creating a healthier YOU!
Monday: Structuring the Chaos (Organization tips and personal management)
Tuesday: Wedding Planning!
Wednesday: Gettin’ Crafty!
Thursday: Spice it Up! (Cooking and baking tutorials!)
Friday: Free For All Friday!
Saturday: Personal Reflections
Although the eventual goal is to write a new post every day, I know that probably won’t happen. I have started a big calendar and blog planner, so hopefully that will help me out with the planning and knowing what to write. My biggest problem in the past was writing block. Maybe that won’t happen this time around! Maybe this time, I can actually get this thing going!
Fellow bloggers, what are some helpful tips that you’ve learned over the years to keep your blog going?
